Valleyview House - Thurso

It's not perfect, but It's nice

What a good place! We stayed in a twin room with glorious countryside views and enjoyed a warm, cute atmosphere from the hosts. Breakfast was delicious, and the best part? Feeding the Highland Cows! A unique experience. Although the ensuite was downstairs, the charm of this cozy B&B more than made up for it.

i booked a deluxe double room, it was bright and had television, coffee and tea making equipment, and a seating area. the folks working here were very pleasant.

It was exceptionally clean, everyone was excellent. The room was exceptional and beautifully decorated with fantastic views, large comfy bed and shower gel as expected.

A unique Highland experience

Our hosts, Antoinette and Stephen, provided invaluable local tips and treated us to a delicious breakfast with fresh milk-a lovely touch! Meeting the Highland cows was a fun surprise too!

The bathroom layout took some getting used to, as it was not en suite, which might not appeal to everyone.

Overall it was a really really nice stay on a road trip. An electric kettle and glassware were a nice touch. The location was unbeatable and peaceful, so close to Thurso as well as the centre of Thurso.

The staff was helpful, as well as host.

Valleyview house bed & breakfast has a fantastic location, with the ocean visible across the fields during breakfast. Our small double room was cozy, and the beds were comfortable with clean linen. Meeting the highland cows was a highlight! Antoinette and stephen were wonderful hosts.

Antoinette and Stephen were cute hosts. The shared breakfast setting was a unique and fun way to interact with other guests.

Valleyview B&B provided an very nice experience. The beautiful double room with a sea view was fine, with huge windows that flooded the space with light. I enjoyed the cozy, homely atmosphere and the beautiful view, especially at night when the stars dazzled. Breakfast was a highlight, offering plenty of tasty options and a hearty cooked meal that set us up for a day of adventure. Meeting Antoinette's Highland Cows was good. Being able to brush and feed them. There was some confusion regarding the breakfast charges. We initially thought it was included, but it was a bit more than we expected. The speed of service felt a bit rushed despite the friendly atmosphere. I had a wonderful stay with nice moments but hope for clearer communication about pricing in the future.

The environmentally-friendly touches, including fresh milk for tea and the good homemade breakfast, made it special. The hosts, Antoinette and Stephen, were impressively warm and accommodating throughout my visit.

I wished I could have stayed longer.

This place was just a commendable fit for a quick break in Thurso with excellent value for money. The hosts were very helpful and even let us use their personal sauna, a nice surprise. Make sure to ask about breakfast pricing to avoid confusion.

The view from our room was amazing, especially during sunrise. We loved the fresh air and the lovely atmosphere among the animals nearby. The breakfast spread was amazing, with no UHT milk in sight! Just a great spot for our family to unwind.

My children wished for a larger play area outside.

The twin room provided a warm and cozy atmosphere, offering amazing views. Breakfast featured good homemade options, especially the English breakfast, a highlight. While the ensuite layout could be adjusted for some, the location made up for it, being conveniently situated along the scenic NC500 route. The interaction with the Highland cows added a unique touch.
